The property is located in Washington County which is part of the Albemarle Peninsula region of eastern North Carolina. It's on Old Cherry Rd near the town of Creswell North Carolina. It's just minutes off Hwy 64 which is the main artery between the Outer Banks and Raleigh with the beaches of Nags Head being under an hour to the east and Raleigh barely 2 hours to the west. There are 3 structures on the property, each with it's own character. First, is a 3 bed/1 bath old farmhouse. It is shown as being originally built in 1930 with an effective date of 1970 but is currently undergoing a renovation project. Now is the time to jump in and have some input on the finished product. Adjacent to the house is a spacious 25' x 25' ground level wood framed shelter/garage with stained barn doors, new metal roof and new siding. Adjacent to that is another building. It's raised off the ground, has wood floors and has ample room for storage or could make an awesome woodworking shop. The land is a mix of 16 acres of income producing cultivated farmland with the remaining acreage being seasonally wet timber land. Perfect habitat for hunting ducks in flooded timber. This could be a great little hunting/recreational tract less than an hour from the Outer Banks. Plenty of room for a duck impoundment or sizable food plot for deer hunting or strips of sunflowers for some incredible dove shoots...or all of the above! And when it's not hunting season there is excellent freshwater and saltwater fishing in multiple directions. Quick and easy access to the Lower Roanoke River, the Albemarle Sound, the Scuppernong River, the Alligator River and Lake Phelps. There's well over 130,000 acres of public trust lands within a few minutes drive in multiple directions as well. Pocosin Lakes NWR, Pettigrew State Park, Lantern Acres Game Lands and more... Hiking, biking, camping, hunting, fishing, boating, wildlife viewing and photography. A lot to do on and around this one!
