Listing Agent Remarks

Live your dream in Sea Dream! This home can be your perfect vacation spot for so many reasons. Number 1 – proximity to the ocean. It will only take a few minutes to get to the beach and enjoy the ocean. Number 2 – it has amazing ocean views. You don’t even have to go outside to see the ocean and even catch dolphins playing in the waves! If you want to watch the sunrise over the Atlantic with morning coffee just go out on the deck. Not a morning person, no problem – you can admire the sunset while relaxing in the hot tub. Number 3 – space. This home is perfect for a family vacation. There is plenty of room to spread out and lots of little areas for kids to play. Number 4 – location. The beach is less crowded than in the northern parts of the Outer Banks. You can walk to a coffee shop or bike to local restaurants, shops or go fishing on Rodanthe Fishing Pier which is only about 300 yards away. Number 5 – elevator! Taking all your luggage and groceries upstairs will be so much easier. No wonder that renters love it. Just look at the rental numbers! Family cooking and baking will be so much fun in this beautiful, new kitchen with granite countertops (2022). Recent improvements also include updated bathrooms (flooring, toilets and vanities), new water tank, washer and dryer, stove and microwave. The vinyl exterior is low maintenance, all storm doors were replaced and outside lights updated. Rodanthe is the most northern town on Hatteras Island. It was originally named Chicamacomico by the Croatans (a tribe of Algonquin Native Americans) which means “dwelling place by the big water”. One of the first sights is the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station, a collection of historic buildings that once housed the men, animals and equipment needed to rescue ships stuck on the shoals offshore. Now it serves as a museum and is a point of pride for the village. Rodanthe is also known from the novel Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks and a movie with the same title. Rodanthe is also one of the best surfing spots on the Outer Banks. If you never tried kite boarding, there are several schools on the island and one of them is just across the street. Another place worth visiting is Pea Island Wild Life Refuge where you can enjoy watching over 370 species of birds.
